Discovery UK

July 2004. Outsourcing Russian veterans living either in Britain or in Russia for Discovery UK

Assistance in making a documentary about the last year of WWII for Discovery UK. It will be a 10-part series broadcast late this autumn. It will begin in Normandy (with the Allied landings) and end in Berlin.

It is meant to reflect the reality of being a soldier or a civilian during the fighting. It is not concerned with politics but with the experiences of individuals. Discovery UK interviewed veterans from every side of the conflict and our presenter attempted things like driving a jeep, getting inside a tank and doing a parachute jump.

Russian London Ltd has outsourced Russian veterans in Moscow for the program about the Eastern Front, and the fighting between Germany, Poland, and the Soviet Union. We have helped to find veterans that fought in the last year of the war, between January and March 1945, for example in Warsaw.
