This thrilling interpretation of Musorgsky's masterpiece Boris Godunov, in Rimsky-Korsakov's version, is one of world's most-celebrated productions.

The towering figure of Boris is one of the great bass roles in the operatic repertoire, and this most-famous Russian opera has few dramatic equals.

Accused of murdering the true heir to the throne, Boris becomes Tsar amid social and political turmoil - and his guilty conscience drives him to despair, madness, and death.

Musorgsky's magnificent score is infused with Russian folk music and stirring national hymns.
