Pushkin House Events in November and early December 2007

Dear friend of Pushkin House,

It is our pleasure to bring you a full programme in November and early December 2007. Concerts include a recital by soprano Ksenia Jones and a performance by the Barbican Piano Trio. We are starting a new kind of free Community Events at Pushkin House with the Russian Citizenship workshop on 14 Nov 2007. Four great exhibitions feature the works of Mikhail Lattry, grandson of Aivazovsky; a joint exhibition of paintings by Natasha Arendt and Oleg Prokofiev; an exhibition by British watercolourist Janet Treloar (information coming soon) and a photographic-video exposé by Duncan Higgins of the Solovki Islands and their history (information coming soon). Our series of lectures on the short stories of Anton Chekhov continue and include readings by actors Ralph Fiennes and Michael Pennington. A new series of lectures on Russian architecture, organised by expert Clementine Cecil, opens on 19 December (information coming soon). Kino Kino! continue to present a wide range of Russian cinema.

Please subscribe or renew your subscription as a Friend of Pushkin House; your support is, quite simply, crucial in maintaining the rhythm of our cultural programme. We are also offering a special gift voucher one year's subscription; that is a marvellous Christmas present and could save you hours of stress on the high street! Remember that Pushkin House can be hired for your Christmas gatherings, lunchtimes or evenings; the House is now fully licensed for public performances and for retail of alcohol.

Pushkin House will close at 6pm on Friday 21 December and reopen at 9.30am on Monday 7 January, but you are welcome to email and telephone us over the holiday period.

For full details of our events and other areas of Pushkin House activities you can visit www.pushkinhouse.org.uk

<http://www.pushkinhouse.org.uk/> or call us on 020 7269 9770. You

will be very welcome at Pushkin House!
