“Magnificent, terrific!” These are the words with which the Irish audience received the Perm State Ballet and its traditional pre-Christmas extravaganza of Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet. This time the 50-strong troupe danced in the Point in front of almost three thousand spectators. At the interval Gazeta’s correspondent went backstage to find out what the Russian ballet dancers thought of Dublin. “We love coming to Ireland. This is our sixth time in Dublin. It feels like home,” was the answer. The members of the troupe said they liked Irish pubs. “Most of the girls prefer drinking Murphy’s and the guys, sure enough, Guinness”, Konstantin Bolshukhin told Gazeta. “The Irish audience is very friendly and appreciative. We love them”, - said Tatiana Bolshukhina before dashing back on stage to the sounds of the Little Swans dance.
